`A' Pillar/Headliner - Wind Noise
Article No.
WINDNOISE - BEHIND HEADLINER - PIN HOLES
87-10-17
AT OUTSIDE "A" PILLAR CORNERS/JOINTS
FORD LIGHT TRUCK: 1987 RANGER, BRONCO II
ISSUE:
Windnoise from behind the headliner at the upper "A" pillar corners may be caused by small pin holes at the outside roof-to-"A" pillar joints.
The expansion of sealer materials during assembly and painting can result in small pin holes in the joints.
Figure 17 - Article 87-10-17
ACTION:
To correct this, check the roof-to-"A" pillar joint, both right and left hand sides on the outside of the vehicle for proper sealer application,
see Figure 17. If there is a small pin hole(s), clean the area and apply clear silicone sealer (D6AZ-19562-A) to the area using a wiping
motion.
